Dimpora AG

Dimpora AG, a Zurich-based start-up, aims to create environmentally friendly outdoor clothing. The company was founded by Anna and Mario during their chemistry studies at ETH Zurich, when they realized that many outdoor garments rely on harmful forever chemicals, known as PFCs.

These chemicals have a devastating impact on nature and cannot be reclaimed. Dimpora offers an eco-friendly alternative – a microporous hydrophobic membrane. This innovative membrane can be applied via lamination to various materials, making it suitable for a wide range of industries, and not limited to outdoor clothing. It achieves outstanding performance without resorting to harmful chemicals in manufacturing or the final product. These fluorine-free membranes are exceptionally waterproof, breathable, resistant and stretchable – a ready-to-market solution that does not leave a trace.
